Building A Legacy
The Need For An Endowment
Why are the arts important?
As the most universal form of human expression, the arts reflect the society in which we live. The arts tell us about people and the different cultural origins of the world. Without art, the story of humanity cannot be told. Chandler is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation and was one of the first East Valley municipalities to build and support an Arts Center.
What is an endowment and why do we need it?
An endowment fund is a permanently restricted net asset, the principal of which is protected and the income from which may be spent and is controlled by either the donor’s restrictions or the organization’s governing board. Endowments strengthen an organization’s sustainability and are the key to ensuring long-term stability.
