Who We Are

The Chandler Cultural Foundation (the “Foundation”) is a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of Arizona in September 1988, which began operations in August 1989.  The purpose of the Foundation is to procure grants, gifts, contributions and other public support in the form of money and other property, and to expend these funds to support programming and operating costs of the Chandler Center for the Arts.  The Foundation is responsible for both promoting and operating the Center to benefit the community.

Why We Exist

The Chandler Center for the Arts is jointly owned by the City of Chandler and the Chandler Unified School District.  The Chandler Cultural Foundation was contracted in 1989 by the City of Chandler as a means to facilitate programming and fund development for the Chandler Center for the Arts.   As the programming entity of the Chandler Center for the Arts, the Chandler Cultural Foundation presents quality programs that would not otherwise be available in the community.  As the fund development entity of the Center, the Foundation raises money to support programs and for an endowment fund that was created in order to build long-term sustainability for the Center, which now totals nearly $1.6 million.
