Performing Arts Program-Classes are the place to be! In our sessions, children have fun learning acting techniques, playing improvisational games, building self-esteem, and performing in wonderful stage performances. We have professional stage and vocal directors who teach children acting, dance, and vocal skills, as well as audition techniques. Every child will have guaranteed a part in the special performance that they will perform for family and friends.
Performing Arts Program-Classes: Winter/Spring 2012
We offer a place where students can build new friendships and experience the performing arts while working on our fantastic musical productions. Students will be challenged to create characters and improvise scenes, as well as engage in exercises in movement and voice- all helping to build self-confidence.

Work on your singing, dancing and acting skills in this high energy class!
This season we will offer several children's theatre classes that will provide professional training for theatre enthusiasts ages 7 and up and are for performing arts students of all experience levels.
Performing Arts Program-Classes is a wonderful opportunity for students to grow in all aspects of musical theatre. We will have classes weekly and then conclude with a production for family and friends. We offer a learning environment where students can build new friendships and experience the performing arts while working on our fantastic musical productions. We will be focusing on music theatre as well as audition techniques, improvisation, storytelling, and much more. This class strives to build foundations for students to develop self confidence and encourage success.

Kristen Drathman is a Phoenix based actor, singer, teacher and concert performer, and has sung in venues all over the world including the '92 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and the Brooklyn Conservatory Summer Opera Festival. Kristen has been teaching voice and acting privately for 13 years, and has a studio of over 50 students ranging in age from 7-40. She has had many successful students move on to perform on American Idol National tours, and on Broadway. Kristen has taught Summer Musical Theatre camps for 10 years and has also performed with the educational theaters Childsplay, Greasepaint Youth theatre, Valley Youth Theater and her own Summer Music Camp through Chandler Young Actors Group at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Musical Theatre from ASU where she graduated Cum Laude. She has a long track record of successfully getting her students prepared and ready to audition for admittance (and scholarships) to the most elite Colleges, Conservatories and Universities in the country.

No! Just passion, enthusiasm and a desire to experience the world of music theatre. With our incredible student/staff ratio of 8-to-1, each student will get personal coaching throughout the class. - WHAT WILL MY STUNDENT LEARN?
Performing Arts Program-Classes will focus on all aspects of music theatre to give your student a taste of the Broadway life. Instruction will be given in dance, singing and acting while learning and rehearsing for the live stage performance that will take place at the end of the class series for family and friends to enjoy. - WHERE WILL THE CLASSES BE HELD?
At the Chandler Center for the Arts. Located at 250 North Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225. - WHAT SHOULD MY STUDENT WEAR?
Comfortable clothes that allow for movement and dance; Soft-soled, closed toe shoes are required at all times in class. Although dance shoes are not necessary, they are preferred if your student already owns a pair.
