The name Latitude Eight is a geographic designation for the southern part of Thailand which includes the island of Phuket, and other southern coastal cities such as Krabi and Hat Yai, where fresh seafood dominate the cuisine.
The wait staff is well versed in our menu offerings and can assist in selecting from our dishes, whether you are a Thai food aficionado, or you are new to the fresh and balanced flavors of Thai cuisine. We just received our liquor license (7/1) and will stock a wide variety of Asian beers, and we are proud to offer draft beer from SanTan Brewery also in Historic Downtown Chandler. Our food also pairs extremely well with wine, and we are excited to bring a carefully crafted wine list - focusing on harder to find, smaller vineyard selections at excellent prices. All beverages (beers, wines and tea) will complement our menu.
A quick note about the owners, David was born in Thailand in 1970 but raised primarily in the United States. His 18 years in the advertising industry involved worldwide travel, where his love for food grew. Nicha (Mom) is also from Thailand, also worked in the ad industry for 16 years before opening her first Thai restaurant in Los Angeles in 2002. She recently sold her restaurant to live closer to her family, and joined her son on the venture. Their pride for Thai cuisine and culture shows in their food and service. It was important for Nicha and David to show the more modern and updated feel of current Thai cities and culture, so they created this modern and serene space to present their food, while not losing the warm and neighborhood feel of Downtown Chandler.
