Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants
141 South Arizona Ave.
Chandler, AZ 85225

It all started in 1979,when Ernie and Eva Serrano were working in the family business, Serrano's Clothing Store, in downtown Chandler. The Serrano family had several clothing stores dating back to 1919, making Serrano's the oldest, continuous family owned business in Chandler.
Using the same Serrano's logo as their clothing stores, Ernie and Eva opened their first restaurant in 1979 just behind the clothing store in downtown Chandler. Shortly after, they decided to close their last clothing store and put all their efforts into the restaurant business. Their efforts were prosperous, and a few years later their son, Ric, joined the Company and opened their second location in Tempe.
Today, the Serrano family owns and operates 8 restaurants with 7 Mexican food locations in the Southeast area and Brunchie's, a breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Chandler.

Our passion for fresh bread is the soul of our success. Bread-making is an art form to us, which is why we allow our handcrafted bread to rise slowly, taking 16-24 hours. We never use additives or preservatives and all of our bread is baked at each Wildflower location daily.
Our natural starter originated in San Francisco and continues, with our care, to begin the process of artisan bread making. We use starters each day to mix a variety of dough, adding anything from grains and seeds to fresh herbs and fruit. Once the dough is mixed, we give it time to ferment; this gives bread a web-like cell structure or what some know as bread’s "holes”.
Artisan bread like ours is shaped by hand. Some of the basic shapes are rounds, ovals, batards and baguettes. Our bread is shaped at our Central Commissary and transported by refrigerated trucks to our restaurants. Refrigeration stops or retards the bread-making process momentarily. Once the bread safely makes its way to each location, the process continues.
