It’s been an unprecedented time and, in the midst of it, we are hearing all sorts of incredible stories of neighbors helping neighbors, artists creating virtual content and local businesses helping others.
It has truly been an unbelievable turn of events as everyone's worlds have been turned upside down, but we are so grateful that today we have wonderful technology to help us stay connected, especially with our friends and family, as well as the people and places we love. The Chandler Center for the Arts has been calling our members just to check in and we are hearing from them about how much they love and miss the Center. It’s been overwhelming to hear from so many in the community. While we are still waiting for the time when we will be able to be together again, we are kicking off our annual membership campaign.
Chandler Center for the Arts (CCA) members account for our most loyal ticketholders. Some become members because they want to be able to purchase tickets in advance for one of their favorite artists. Others may become a member because of the great benefits, such as two for one tickets, waived fees, or artist meet and greets. Others simply become members to support the arts in their community.
Yes, membership helps the arts flourish in Chandler. The money someone gives for membership supports Chandler Cultural Foundation, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that oversees the programming and provides the fiduciary control for the Chandler Center for the Arts. Led by a dynamic group of leaders and visionaries from within the community, the Foundation enables the CCA to present world-class entertainment and deliver high-quality educational programming, all with the support of individuals, corporations and foundations.
If the tax credit of being a supporter is important, benefits and perks can be waived so that the total amount of the membership is tax-deductible.
But, we also know perks have their place. Who doesn’t like to have some benefits for their contributions?
This year, we added new benefits to say thank you to our members in an even bigger way. For those members who give at the $100 level and up, you now get 10% off on your concession purchases when you show your membership card. Members at $250 or more are going to receive a special VIP bag with an item that will show everyone you are true arts fan. And, for our $1,000 members and above, you’ll get an exclusive invitation for a VIP reception with General Manager Michelle Mac Lennan.
During our 30th anniversary year, we saw an increase in the contributions we received from our generous supporters. It was a year we won’t forget, but we look forward to our next season and all that it holds. Right now, we are working on those experiences for you. We hope you will support this effort.
Memberships for 2020/2021 season are now available. And, for those who commit to a membership soon, they will be among the first to find out about the new season. We aren't quite ready to announce the season just yet, but when we do, members will be the first to know.
Our patrons are so important to us...now, more than ever. Chandler Center for the Arts will continue to be the place for our community to come together. We look forward to seeing you again.
