Pre-Audition Workshop

In preparation for the auditions, JR McAlexander, the Producer and Musical Director of Showtune Productions, along with M. Seth Reines, the Artistic Director, will host a free musical theatre audition workshop for actors aged 18 and older. This workshop will take place on Monday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Chandler Community Center.

The workshop will offer valuable audition tips to help participants prepare for professional musical theatre auditions. Topics covered will include song selection, performance preparation, resume and headshot preparation, as well as audition etiquette and attire.

Attendees who wish to participate actively should prepare 16 bars from a Broadway classic. Piano accompaniment will be available. Please come dressed appropriately for the audition and remember to bring your headshot.

If you do not have a headshot, the Chandler Center for the Arts will provide a photographer to take free theatrical headshots.
