CCA Under the Stars - At the Museum

Enjoy an intimate performance in Chandler Museum’s illuminated outdoor living room. This collaborative concert series is limited to 50 attendees and includes access to the Museum’s exhibits after hours. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and savor an evening of music under a kaleidoscope of color and stars.

Local vocalist Kristen Drathman returns in this encore performance to sing songs from the forty-year career of Carole King, one of the most celebrated and quintessential singer-songwriters of our time. From “Up on the Roof” to “Natural Woman” to “You’ve Got a Friend,” don’t miss an evening of beautiful, iconic music honored with the voice of a powerhouse singer.

Kristen is an Arizona native who has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Theater from Arizona State University (Cum Laude);  Trained classically with renowned voice teacher Dr. Judith Cloud and has been honored to sing all over the world.  The ’92 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Summer Opera Festival are a few favorites. She has also performed with the Phoenix Symphony singing as the female soloist in A Salute to the Tony’s with Conductor Lawrence Golan.  Kristen has performed in several of Phoenix Theatre’s productions including Swing!, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Cole!, I Love a Piano,  and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee to name just a few.  Kristen has been teaching private voice and acting for over 20 years, with a studio of more than 50 students, ranging in age from 7-60. When not busy at “Play,” Kristen enjoys spending time with her sweet husband Lou and two sweet daughters - Shea and Emme.
