CHANDLER, Ariz. - In August 2018, Chandler Center for the Arts became the first performance venue in the United States to install the revolutionary AiRAY loudspeaker system from CODA AUDIO. Based in Hanover, Germany, CODA has become one of the leading manufacturers of sound systems for performance venues across the globe.

Technicians and sound engineers from the company installed the speakers, sensors and cabling throughout the Chandler Center for the Arts Main Stage Theater in one week. The result is an acoustic upgrade that provides patrons with an intimate sound experience. The patented technology ensures that every person in the theater, regardless of seat location, will hear with the same clarity of sound and volume.

“The musicality and clarity of Airays, combined with the power and stunning imaging that they output, is truly remarkable," says Dean Hannula, Senior Production Coordinator at Chandler Center for the Arts. "After the system demonstrations, the decision was an easy one to make and the reaction since the very first show has fully justified our choice!"

Whether it is a touring performer like Travis Tritt or the students in school performing arts groups, the goal for the system was to get every patron as close to the artists as possible by providing a complete, cutting edge audio experience that does not distract from the performance.

The sound system made its debut at the Chandler Center for the Arts to rave reviews from patrons over its opening weekend, featuring Mike Super and Macy Gray.
