Chandler Center for the Arts is proud to partner with the West Valley Arts Council to present this performance as part of its CCA Anywhere Series.
Join Yumi La Rosa for a virtual performance of this complex art form that incorporates poetry, song, guitar and dance. Learn more about flamenco with some insight into its history and steps, then be mesmerized by the rhythmic percussion of a shoe heel, toe tap, finger snap and hand clap as the Flamenco dancers tell stories with their movement. This performance video also features vocalist Javier Hernandez and one of our favorite Flamenco musicians – Chris Jacóme.
Yumi La Rosa is a professional Flamenco dancer who studied her art in Spain in order to follow her passion, leaving her career as an accountant behind. Since then, she has taught students of all ages and performed internationally, including Mexico, India and Singapore.
To enjoy this free performance, registration is required. A link will be sent to all registrants prior to showtime on Thursday, March 4 at 7 p.m.
