Session 1 - Welcome & Introductions  - September 4, 2024
Session Outcomes: Define personal YAC program expectations. Tour of CCA, understand the nonprofit structure, staff roles, sign-up arts opportunities: Board Meeting, Friends.

Session 2 –Why the Arts?- September 18, 2024
Session Outcomes: Tour Vision Gallery, Guest panel discussion: define art and state of the arts in Arizona.

Session 3 – Money, Money, Money -  October 9, 2024
Session Outcomes: Guest presenter, understand finances and personal financial responsibility.

Session 4 – Follow the Leader -  October 23, 2024 
Session Outcomes: Guest presenter, understand and define personal leadership style.

Session 5 – Create Special Event Fundraiser  - October 30, 2024
Session Outcomes: Tour Chandler Museum, understand committee structure, create a fundraiser, form committees, develop a budget and timeline, and delegate tasks.

Session 6 – I Have a Dream! - November 13, 2024
Session Outcomes: Guest presenter, define personal goals, create a vision board.

Session 7 - What's The Buzz - December 4, 2024 
Session Outcomes: Guest presenter, public relations and marketing overview, real-world simulation.

Session 8 – Committee Final Preparation - January 8, 2025
Session Outcomes: Committee final preparation for the special event fundraiser.

YAC Fundraiser - January 25, 2025 - Chandler Center for the Arts Lobby

Session 9 - Arts Advocacy - January 29, 2025
Session Outcomes: Guest presenter, develop arts advocacy elevator speech, and understand arts funding.

Session 10 – Put Your Best Foot Forward! - February 12, 2025
Session Outcomes: Guest presenter, social etiquette, discuss resume & interview preparation.

Session 11 – Round Table - March 5, 2025
Session Outcomes: Provide feedback to Board members, Guest Presenters 30-minute discussion topics: Higher Education, Balancing Life, Getting the Job, and What to Expect as a Board member.

Session 12 – Passing the Baton & Graduation - March 26, 2025
Session Outcomes: YAC Program debrief, evaluation, and next steps.

HOW TO APPLY

The Youth Arts Council program is free of charge to all participants. The program starts in September and concludes in March.  A maximum of 15 teens will be selected.

Application Deadline: Friday, August 23, 2024

Interviews: Wednesday, August 28, 2024
