The Cultural Development Department showcases destination drivers in Chandler through the Chandler Center for the Arts (CCA), Chandler Museum, Downtown, Public Art, Special Events, and Vision Gallery. The CCA is a welcoming, vibrant community space with the purpose of elevating our diverse community and creating enriching experiences. The CCA is collaboratively shared by three distinct entities – the City of Chandler, the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD), and the Chandler Cultural Foundation. With three performance spaces, the CCA presents approximately 40 international and regional performances annually as well as serving as a vital arts space for CUSD students and community events. Who we are looking for:
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and an eye for detail. The Patron Services Coordinator is organized and has the skills to oversee events that serve diverse audiences, with inclusivity and accessibility at the core of their professional philosophy, including knowledge of ADA and DEI best practices. We seek an energetic, customer service-focused individual with strong supervisory expertise to oversee a team of part-time contract staff and contractors. This position will also manage the Food and Beverage Coordinator as well as the CCA’s volunteer program. This team member must be safety-focused with experience in implementing security protocols and providing proper emergency training for staff and volunteers; they must have the keen ability to make quick decisions and manage emergency situations. The Patron Services Coordinator must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule that includes mostly evening and weekend hours. It is important for the person in this position to have good verbal and written communication skills, as well as the competency to keep appropriate documentation and measurements relevant to the position.
- Associate’s Degree in Theatre Arts or related field;
- Two (2) years experience in house management in a large public assembly facility, event coordination, and/or volunteer coordination including previous supervisory experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- First Aid and CPR/AED Certifications;
- Trained Crowd Manager Certification;
- Experience with Volgistics or other volunteer management system;
- Experience with Ungerboeck event management software or other facility scheduling software;
- Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance standards.

The position available is a regular full-time position and is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for four (4) months should another position become available.
