Chandler Cultural Foundation
With the opening of the Chandler Center for the Arts in 1989, the City of Chandler established the Chandler Cultural Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization to oversee programming and provide fiduciary control for the new facility. Comprised of a Board of Directors, appointed by the City of Chandler Mayor and Council, the Foundation is charged with overseeing all programming and operations of the Chandler Center for the Arts.
Chandler Cultural Foundation Board Members Responsibilities
- Reviewing and approving proposed management policies
- Reviewing and approving the annual operating budget
- Managing a philanthropic endowment
- Developing and coordinating fundraising programs to support the Center
- Reviewing and approving proposed programs and visual art exhibits at the Center
Chandler Cultural Foundation Board Members are Dynamic Leaders, Loyal Supporters, and Visionaries
As ticket sales and other earned income cover only part of the Center’s programming expenses, the Chandler Cultural Foundation also conducts major fundraising efforts to raise funds to support artistic and educational programs as well as to provide long-term sustainability for the Center through its endowment fund.
The Foundation’s leadership plays the vital role of stewards for the Chandler Center for the Arts, ensuring quality arts programs are offered to the public at an affordable cost while guiding the fiscal, artistic and operational management for the facility.
