About Ballet Etudes
Created in 1986 by Sharon Seder Meko, Ballet Etudes fulfills the artistic needs of serious young dancers who desire performing opportunities of the highest caliber. The studio aims to realistically duplicate the experiences of a professional ballet company for dancers ages 9 to 18. Under the guidance of its professional staff, Ballet Etudes is dedicated to providing the highest quality in dance education and optimum performing opportunities for its members. Company members are selected through open auditions by a panel of adjudicators and once chosen are held to the standards of a professional company.
The performance schedule of Ballet Etudes includes its popular productions of The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. Additionally, the company has performed with The Phoenix Symphony, the Phoenix Boys Choir, The Phoenix Girls Chorus and the Metropolitan Youth Symphony among others.

Company members are selected through open auditions by a panel of adjudicators each August, and if selected, the dancers strive to meet the same high artistic standards of a professional company in their dance training, rehearsals and performances. The Artistic Staff offers young dancers an opportunity for expert training and stage experience under professional guidance. Ballet Etudes is not only proud of the excellence of its dancers but of its strong financial stability. As a result of the solid management of its Board of Trustees, Ballet Etudes has sole ownership of its sets, properties and costumes. The company also receives generous contributions from local corporations, businesses and private patrons.
"When looking for dancers in the Phoenix valley, Ballet Etudes is my first choice!"
